Congregating Creativity is a short documentary that captures the intersection of art, history, and community at the First Presbyterian Church in Woodlawn. Created as part of the Making the Short Documentary program at Hyde Park Art Center, the film follows an artist residency program featuring the work of Max Li, Messejah Washington, Ameera Pernebsati Lys, and Dozzy Ibekwe.

Through intimate storytelling, Congregating Creativity explores how the church’s rich history and sacred space influence the artists and their creative practices. The documentary premiered with a filmmaker discussion and a reception catered by Dozzy’s Grill.
